Box chart maker script details Box charts aren't really that known. They consists of blocks of boxes stacked on top of each other.
The number of boxes in a pile signifies the value of an input criteria. Comparing piles is like comparing bars in a regular bar chart, where the number of boxes is to show the value as the bar height shows an item's value in a regular bar chart.
These types of charts have been made popular by the Washington Post website and are quite hard to build.
The 'Box chart maker' utility allows developers to generate the HTML code needed to power these charts via an easy to use, intuitive GUI.
If the user wants to add tooltips showing more intricate details as in the original box charts on Washington Post, he might need to do that himself by hand. Nevertheless, 'Box chart maker' puts the HTML code in place for the user to later add the tooltip code.
